what difficulty level do I have?

How can I tell what difficulty level I chose when I started? That was some time ago.

I want to check in the middle of a game.

Unfortunately it is not visible on the UI, I could only tell it from the savegame. We plan to visualize it in 2.6: FR#5495

Check your "Max. allowed debts" in the Statistics screen, then start a new game and find the same while adjusting difficulty. Your level is where you see the same debt value.
