Error: Shutdown when running ufoai - Linux Mint 17.2

When I run ufoai a splash screen briefly comes up and a loading bar gets approx 1/8 of the way across, then it exits. At the console I get lots of debug output, ending with

As it says, my graphics card is an AMD Radeion HD5000. I have tried swapping drivers - I see the same with fglrx, fglrx-updates and xserver-xorg-video-ati

I installed using playdeb - the version is 2.5-1~getdeb

Any suggestions on what I should do? Are there any command line options I gan use to give more hints? Do you want me to post/attach the full output?

This is your problem, a missing font, which causes the game to error out, grab it form our repo and copy it to to ~/.ufoai/2.5/base/media (you'll need to create the media directory) and it should work (Or you could copy it to whatever place the game was installed too if you want)

You might also want to let the packager know there's a problem with the package.

I got in touch with the package maintainer; I thought I'd follow up in case it helps anyone else.

They have replaced the font with a symlink - /usr/share/games/ufoai/base/media/DejaVuSans.ttf -> ../../../../fonts/truetype/dejavu/DejaVuSans.ttf

Unfortunately, I'd moved my /usr/share/games to a new partition (running out of space on the original one) and replaced it with a symlink in /usr/share - and so the ../../../../ was pointing at my new partition rather than the correct /usr/share.
