I've just started playing the game for a few hours and I've found the game to be basically unplayable. Maybe I'm missing something but my game looks pretty different from other shots I've seen of the 2.5 update. I've looked through the options and fiddled around with no change. Don't crucify me because I'm a noob or maybe just an idiot but so far I've had issues with:
When I go to salvage a wrecked UFO and go into a battle and click to enter the battle nothing happens, the level begins to load then the Geoscape appears again with no battle. I can only get round this by doing autobattles,but that's no fun. My plane instantly disappears back to my base when this happens.
There's no button to get back to my base or any of my facilities, I have to click many times in the general area before I eventually find it.
When I go to give my soldiers weapons and equipment, no pictures for the different items appear and I can't work out how to actually give the equipment to the soldier. In videos I've seen, the different guns etc. have images for them, in my game they seem to not load.
When I open the game its normally in a tiny resolution so I have to go into the options, change it, restart in the right resolution and then I can play.
When I tried to build a new base I got a message saying something like "Do not place rooms next to each other" or something like that. This meant the game only allowed me around 3 rooms per base.
When I place things like radar or SAMs sometimes nothing happens and the building never starts.
I'm on version 2.5 which is meant to be stable yet my game is broken to the point of being unplayable, maybe I'm missing something. I have no idea, any help or ideas would be appreciated. Do I need to uninstall then reinstall?
