Installing Packages on Ubuntu

(1/1)

Aetrem:
I have 2 things I want everyone to know.

#1 Downloading the Ubuntu version of UFO:AI through the link on the Download page is broken.
#2 One of the packages when compiling the source on the Debian compiling page is broken. Link here: http://pastebin.com/1qgh2kNL

Thank you for you help, I just wish I could play this game. :'(

Checked the download page, the PlayDeb link works, opens the game's playdeb site.

I don't know which version of Ubuntu you're on, but it seems yours has no libjpeg v8 lib in it. You could try v6.2 (libjpeg62-dev) or jpegturbo (libjpeg-turbo8-dev?)

Thank you! :)
Also, for point #1 when I click "Download" on their website, it trys to download the game though the Ubuntu Software Center. But the game isn't in there anymore. A long time ago I remember it was, but no longer. That is what I meant. :)

kurja:
I'm pretty sure ufoai has never been in any default ubuntu repository, you need to first add the playdeb software source if you want to install via that method
