I'd use it to make a spork that is a spoon that can morph into a fork or a couch that can morph into a chair and desk.

They would be pretty good for car space, start out as a 2 seater then just hit a button and an electrical current extends the car to seat up to 6 people.

AFAIR these materials are extremely durable. I'd make a laptop or cell phone case from them, or maybe a f-ing chair that wouldn't break after three month' usage.

I'd make a sword that could morph into a war hammer and give it to my D&D character. That would be a cool "magic" item.

A car with doors that could morph into wings. Now that would be cool.

Hmm I thought this would be a good topic to have fun with, but it doesn't seem to have really worked out.

Great idea, but where would you keep it?

'I'll just put it on this shelf.....slice, clang.....damn'
'What about this stylish carry-case? ..... slice, clang..... damn'
'How come wherever I leave it, I keep finding it back in the basement?'

Simple you line the inside of the sheath with more alien materials or you make the sword change shape for storage. Actually the electric current shape would be the sharp one, but you get the idea.

Or you could tie a rope to a hilt and keep it suspended.

Hang on, doesn't Damocles have a patent on that?

>> Hang on, doesn't Damocles have a patent on that?

<Super-pedantry-mode> Actually, Damocles was a courtier of Dionysius II of Syracuse, who made a habit of praising the king and his great fortune to excess. To demonstrate to Damocles that kingship had its downside, he ordered that they switch seats at a banquet, and had the sword suspended above Damocles by a single strand of horse hair </Super-pedantry-mode>
