Sure, all 58 working (when there were projects to research), 30 in one base and 28 in another. Lots of research labs.

But I see I have to try the full game next.

The question is, do I wait for 2.5?

And that's not aggressive? I'm in December in a full campaign with 40 scientists total from 3 bases

I think I'm the one who's not aggressive.  I'm not sure, but on hard mode, I can't afford another base and research lab and more scientists.  My bases aren't really loaded with extras as it is.  Not sure how to get around that to speed it up, but it seems to be going at a decent pace.

I expect you all are being aggressive.

I think my rapid research is due to the simple game being easy. Nations cannot fall below "content" status. Large amounts of money roll in each month.

I shall have my own challenge on the full game.

Easy mode gives you faster research, more time before aliens introduce new weaponry/ufos, and more little adjustments to give you more time.

About half way through beggining game on most of my playthroughs and i usually have 90 scientists (2.4 Version Full Campaign) in 1 base and my research is usually dried up by the next mont till new weapons and aircraft comes in for me to paw over and dismantle and research anything else i can. usually by the time i get to particle beam weaponry to research i have found a base and am doing abort missions to gther there tech and ammo.
