Skill Improvement

Hopefully this is the correct venue...

First and foremost - Great Job guys!  I can't wait to see the finished product.

Second - Skill improvement:

I believe a slightly more robust system for skill improvement should be implemented.

Here is my take on it:

after a skill is used (either successfully or not) a skill check is made (roll d100) if the result is HIGHER than your current skill, that skill recieves an "experience point"  when the number of experience points on a skill is greater than 1/10th the skill... (i.e. skill 47 would require 5 exp) then the skill is increased.

My initial thought was to factor in the mind stat, but then I thought better of it, a person can be a crack shot with a sniper rifle or deadly with a knife but still have difficulty cooking boiled water.

Let me know what you guys think

From the ratings given on the skills I think they are meant to go to a much higher number than 100, given 80 is still classed as mediocre?
But it's a nice scaling idea.
Not sure how it's done currently though.
