I know this may not be the current top priority for coders but:

 I think that assigning value points for each weapon/equipement in the equipment screen, and a maximum total points for each team batteling would be a good idea.

Ex: game with 200 points for each team.

Heavy Laser 15 pts
Pistol 2ps
Kevlar suit 5pts
Grenade 1 pt

etc.....

I will propose a value listing when I will have some time

Teams are not allowed to bypass their 200 pts limit.

this is a very good idea for multiplayer session - please add it to the feature request tracker on sourceforge.net project site

i think its an good idea, i couldnt test RC6 on my pc, is multiplayer even implented yet?
so im sorry for any suggestions that may be already in game but:

-possibility to save and load teams to quick select em.
-possibility to select point limit in game rules

the only ufo multiplayer i played till now is ufo2000 and there the point system works very well(kinda fun if u attack an heavy armed small squad with ur massive squad without good weapons)

multiplayer is functionnal already, I tested it and it was great.

You already can create your own squad and load it every time your want to start a multiplayer session.

As of today there is no point limit feature included
