En la traducción actual existen varias expresiones que sin estar mal, me parece que podrían colocarse de diferente forma. Hasta casi la mitad del .po he podido encontrar:

Además nos servirá para homogenizar el estilo de traducción =).

Según lo que han visto, ¿creen que se debería abrir una variante latina de la traducción?

My question was: "According you've seen lately, should we open an es_latin variant?" just to differentiate between spain speakears and latinamerican speakers

I don't know if you've already noticed, but just in case : there is a wiki page which contains all the english descriptions and their associated translation in different languages :
http://ufo.myexp.de/wiki/index.php/List_of_msgid

At the moment, there are only german, french, and some italian translations on this page. You can add the spanish translations if you like.

is the difference so big? we don't differ between en_GB and en_US, too. we just use an en.po

Hi, this is my first post in here...sorry for the bad english (I'm spanish) ^^'

I think there should be only the normal spanish translation. Latin translation brings a lot of work because of the fast and continuous implementation of new words to the language, so it would be difficult to read from a normal spanish reader.
The non-latin translation is easier, and there are less difficult new expressions, so the latin readers won't have any problem reading the texts.
Anyway, there isn't a big difference between the variants, so I think making traductions to different variants is a little loss of time.

Yes, differences are big. Sure, we understand the text and the concept behind (what it really wants to mean), but the words used sounds weird and strange. Sometimes it seems that the text has been machine-translated (maybe it is, to speed up the translation, I don't know) and I have to switch to the english version to read that text properly.

So, my vote is to create an es_ES (or whatever) and start there. We can mantain the current es.po for the southamerican folks or rename it to es_latin to avoid confusion, i don't mind.
