UFO AI 2.4 - First Mission Tropical drug - no map being displayed

Hello,

After shooting my first UFO down, Mission "Tropical Drug" is being loaded. Strangely, the battle screen is there, I mean the frame with the soldiers name and specs, but there is no image of the battle field. It is totally black, no landscape, no buildings and no trees or bushes.

Any clues why this is not working?
