2.4 problem black screen
« on: July 05, 2012, 02:20:50 pm »
Hi i have tried a few ways to open ufo ai 2.4, unfortunately i dont have a log of it. My system is as follows

Amd Phenom 965, Win 7 , 4gb of ram , amd hd6870

As soon as i start it up a window of log shows up for like 5 seconds.. then a black screen... this black screen has forced me to physical reboot my computer.. when i look in the appdata file there is no data in the log... Next attempt i tried to print screen, couldnt get that either...

Then i tried opening it in windowed safe mode, for some reason it turn out to be a maximised black screen, again needed to physical reboot, as any keys, or taskmanager doesnt work...

Maybe you've got a Comodo Firewall. So close it.

It has solved my problem of black screen.

Thank you for your reply, i do have comodo firewall...

Your solution did work but I have found a way to run the game without disabling my firewall :D
I put my comodo defence+ to training mode in defence+ settings.
I run the game and play a little while then close it.
Then i go back to comodo and stick it back to safe mode which it was originally on.
Now i can play the game with firewall active :D
