It is probably elongating because the image dimensions don't match those of the previous armour images.

Anyway, using images was a walkaround as we didn't have armour models just body models for the old set (and noone voluteered to make them).

I'd rather use images than models because the UI model display is not nice. But I can see the value in either approach. I'm not interested in reinventing anything here.
