2.4 Stable crashes on start up

Hi there, I've been waiting to play this game again for so long. I can't remember what version I played but it was about 2 years ago maybe. When I came back to this game I download version 2.3 and of course didn't work on mac. Crash on start up. Searching through the forums I've seen no indication that any build works on mac as of this time.

I was so happy that 2.4 came out and was hoping that I would finally be able to play! But alas no.

Is the UFO:ai team actually working to fix the problems with the mac version? Its been a very long time since i've seen a working version of the game and I know there are plenty of mac users dying to play the game. This is or was one of my favorite games. The game play I thought was just fantastic.

I'll include my crash log and system config now, if its a problem at my end I do apologize for blaming the team like I have. But we'll see.

Same problem. 2.3 didnt work. Now 2.4 doesn't.

Its getting very annoying. At least if its not going to work, the devs should just call the mac port defunct and we'll all just forgot about it. Granted, though, I desperately want to play this game.

Dito. Cant be mad. Awesome game done opensource, with nothing put in but word of mouth. But I am disappointed. I do not understand what is meant by "mac Stable". I am holding on to the last bit of hope for the Desura development. I ran NAEV on that and it works fine. All the best developers, thank you for the sleepless nights. If mac is dead please just tell us or have a place we can get the older version.
