Game crashes right at the geoscape (windows seven)
« on: April 07, 2012, 09:46:53 pm »
I'm having a problem with the 2.4 RC, right at the beginning of the campaign, after the intro, when the geoscape is displayed, my game hangs. The geoscape ist still displayed, but the game doesn't react to input any more. This error occurs regardless of the campaign type and difficulty. This error occurs every time I start a campaign.
Skirmish mode seems to work (there are some graphic glitches, but i haven't really had time to check it out).

I downloaded the game right from the link on the front page:
http://ufoai.org/snapshots/ufoai-stable-win32.exe
I am running Windows Seven Professional, Service Pack 1
AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile 2.2 GHz
Nvidia Geforce Go 6150 Driver 7.15.11.7967

I have attached my logfile, but it seems to cut off in the middle of the messages.

The end of the log is missing, probably due to filesystem caching. If you can, exit the game (normally, not by force-closing) and repost the file.
- if you can bring up the console via Shift+ESC, you can exit by typing quit and hitting Enter.

Another option is to force the logfile flushing on every write which can be achieved, by typing logfile 2 into the console (bring it up as I wrote before, close it with ESC).
