Is there anyway to edit the soldier stats in the savegame file?

H-Hour:
It is probably easier for you to change the recruit starting stats in /base/ufos/team_templates.ufo if you want to create better soldiers. It won't change your existing soldiers but should change new recruits.

If you have no /base/ufos/team_templates.ufo, you probably have to unpack the file /base/ufos.pk3.

I see.. And can you edit the name also???

You can edit the name inside of the game, via click on the pen symbol.

I've extracted the ufos.pk3 file (0ufos.pk3) and there's no team_templates.ufo file inside the ufos folder, (only team_humans, Team_alien, etc..) is it located under a different name? or do I need to extract a different file? ???
