location of soldiers file

Hello everyone,
First of all, i would like to thank you for such an intersting game :-)
I am playing the Campain mode of 2.3.1 and my machine is Windows 7 (Core2Quad, 4G Ram, nVidia 9800 GT).

Every time i build a new base, i spend a lot of time going through the list of available soldiers, in order to select the best possible.

I would like to write a python script to simplify this process:
sort soldiers by speed,accuracy,...
filter soldiers like (speer>=20) and (whatever)

But first... i need to find the location of my soldiers file.
Can you tell me where to find it?

Hi. Your saved game is on your home /.ufoai/... But this file is theorically not create to be edited by a third party software.

Hi bayo, thanks for replying.

I dont want to edit the file, just read data from it.
I had a look in the .savx file and its a binary file.
Is this a serialized object?

Probably we should add a sort option for the soldier screen that sort your soldier by the skills: Select sort option "Sniper" and put the soldier with the highest sniper skills at the top.
