noob: To my knowledge these models (in the base view for hiring) are only implemented in trunk SVN and 2.1 branch (since this is not done yet... for example we need some more scientist models, including some female ones).
Moe: the multiplayer issues you were experiencing (loading a game after swithing from multi- back to single- player mode) should now be fixed in the latest trunk SVN.
PS: The "multi-base load-game crash" bug I mentioned in my last post is now also fixed in latest trunk SVN.
