Thanks for sharing your models. Hopefully there is scope to include more weapons like these in the game, but at the moment most of the weapon models need to fit in with the tech-tree planned for the game (which of course may include weapons such as these as starting options).

If you are interested in modelling and texturing there is plenty of stuff you can help out with which I'm sure would be snapped up straight away and included in the game. For example there is a newly added model for the heavy laser which needs a texture (probably in the style of the laser rifle) ... see http://ufo.myexp.de/wiki/index.php/Equipment/Primary_Weapons/Heavy_Laser and http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/ufoai/ufoai/trunk/base/models/weapons/laserheavy/

The game also needs more models for trees, cars, trucks, furniture etc for inclusion on maps (basically anything you can imagine... e.g. even a fountain or sculpture). If you want to submit some models make sure you read the wiki on formats etc: http://ufo.myexp.de/wiki/index.php/Modelling

You might also be able to help with some broken existing models in the game. See http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1536134&group_id=157793&atid=805242 and http://ufo.myexp.de/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=219

If you want to submit some models for inclusion in the game your best bet is to post them as a "patch" on the sourceforge tracker (try http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=add&group_id=157793&atid=805244 and attach the models and texture files).

are we allowed to use your model? note that we release it under an open source license. If we are allowed to use it i will commit it to svn
