refresh rate and maps

i've just installed new version and have two questions:
how to increase refresh rate from 60hz to 100? in tech demo 1 i hadn't such problem
and about maps, are you guys still planning implement random map generation feature like in original UFO? there is a 270Mb maps folder now and i'm a bit confused...

i suppose you mean vsync? use the cvar r_swapinterval (set it to 1)

about random maps - we have them already - see the wiki about random map assembly (rma)

I suppose you are using CRT display? There is no need to increase refresh rate for the LCDs.

If you are using ATI, you can override default frequency in Catalyst Control Center. Nvidia's driver also has the override function IIRC. Or you can use 3rd party tool like RIVATuner/ATI Tray Tools.
