How many different alien species are available?

Hi,

up to now in the game I have 3 alien species. Taman, Ortnok and Blood spider.
I know also there is the Shevaar (or so).
But how many different alien species are available in the game?
What can I expect in the next U.F.O.?

There is no problems with ideas about aliens. We all have enough imagination to imagine anything.
The problem is the absence of modelers and animators. So, if you have this skills, patches are welcome.
