Saved Games

How can I load my saved games from v. 2.3 after I installed v 2.3.1?

I can't find them on the game folder, and they do not appear inside game screen!!

Did I mess it up by installing over the same folder?

No. you didn`t.
What`s your system?

You need to open profile dir (look in the FAQ its location) and copy saves from 2.3/base/saves to 2.3.1/base/saves

Really o_O, it looks very bad. 2.3.1 really do not use 2.3 dir ?

yes. It use 2.3.1 dir.

I got 2 savegames right now, but there is no \base\saves
the only save directory i can find is at D:\UFOAI-2.3.1\src\client\campaign\save

my base directory only contains the folders i18n and maps

so.. wheres my savegames??

seems like i couldnt find it using the search function, while it was there when i went for it manually.

anyway, editing anythin inside the savegame via editor (it seems to be a text file, after all) leads to the savegame not showing up in the loadscreen.

anyway, the savegame has binary part which break if you edit it with texteditor.

thats what went wrong

now, if you convert the savegames to this text mode, but still open it with some hex editor showing you the text (i used Hex-Editor MX 6.0.2) you can easily change anything you like.

yep,im using this to cheat (obviously), but some games just dont tick me off anymore if i cant change some stuff (like in this case, a personalized soldie, a 'me' like you had in jaggedallience 2)

hey, can you please explain how to do this exactly?

i dont want to cheat(nothing against it if you do it for yourself..)but my save files are all bugged(see the thread i made..) and i tried everything, and still cant play the game..  

so it would be great if you can help me!
