Anyone know Blender to export some stuff to MD2?
« on: November 17, 2010, 12:12:32 pm »
I had a look over the opengameart.org repository and it looks like there's a bunch of good vegetation that could be useful for maps. Anyone willing to output this stuff in md2 or as an obj so I can do it in 3dsm?

Goodness!  I've never gotten around to putting up a tutorial for MD2 export from Blender, is a bit complex and not the easiest thing.

First off, are you using the older, stable Blender?  Or the new beta that recently came out?

I don't use Blender, so I was hoping someone else might be able to do the exporting. If not I'll download it and try to figure out how to export. Even if you just open the files and export to obj, I can work with them in 3dsm.

I made a start on these today. It's easy enough for me to export to obj and work in 3dsm...
