Battlescape logs me out

Hi Guys,
I'm running ubuntu Lucid Lynx, and UFOAI 2.3. I got it from the PlayDeb mirror on this blog post:

I initially had a similar problem to the dude on this thread:

that is, the game would just ignore my attempts to get into battlescape

And so I moved the game.so file to /home/USER/.ufoai/2.3/base, and it "solved" it. But this time, instead of ignoring my attempts to get into battlescape, I get a loading screen, and when the tactical battle is supposed to start ufoai logs me out of my OS.

Something similar happens when I'm trying skirmish mode.
