2 questions - for computer specialists
« on: September 26, 2010, 10:40:25 pm »
I have a new computer and i've put parts from the old one. They are dvd-rom and a 160gb hdd. Both eide. The new computer has only one ide port, so i've connected them both: hdd-slave, dvd-rom is set to master.
1. What to do that the hdd isn't recognized by bios when it's set to slave?
2. When set as master, why it's recognized as 33gb hdd?
The m/b is ASRock. I have a second ide cable.

Fixed. There was a bad cable. So now - when i've formatted the hdd to 37gb, how could i recover ALL the data i had??

I think it's impossible... Well, at least i have got the full capacity... If you have any ideas on how to recover, PM me. Case closed.
