check whether direct renderering is activated - by typing
Code: [Select]

Yeh! i have download Q2 ,install and try ... looks like i can play only with Software renger. All Open GL and GLX based renders give me 3-4 fps. Can i choose Software render for Ufo?
Looks like this trouble with my video card

I guess, ask on some Linux forum (Fedora forum?) about drives and X confing files. I  really hope you can fix your problems completely (though ATI is known for bad Linux drivers).
