Hope you like the upgraded tractor model textures, here the one used on farm map with additional glow & normalmap applied:

Will it have it's lights on on a daytime mission too?

I think you've overdone it a bit. It is of course possible that aliens attacked right the time someone was using the tractor but it's more likely not, so lights should not be on IMHO.

I'm not a farmer, so I don't know if real farmers run tractors at night in the dark or not.

I'm not a farmer, so I don't know if real farmers run tractors at night in the dark or not.

Neither me, but I'm almost sure we don't have support to 2 (day/night) glowmaps only one.

Aand on a side note: every (glowmap/whatever) texture eats memory and other resources on drawing, making the game unusable on older hardware..

VERY true, in my experience with various 3D engines.  What's even worse are shadows on other objects, especially stencil shadows - if they are everywhere even a blazing new machine will choke.

I agree  ;) - There's a lot to be said for the atmospheric side effects.
