Let me start off with an apology. I'm a programmer myself, and the fact that I have to post for help kills me. I am an avid fan of X-Com UFO defense and play it to this day. When I saw your project I got pretty excited about diving into it.
I am running a Pentium 4 with Windows XP. Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum Pro and an ATI X800 Pro. Everything has the latest drivers. I installed from your Win32 install file. (RC4)
When I run the game, I get the grey screen (openGL initialization), however, before the game really loads it crashes out with an UFO.exe error. The error details are no deeper than that. I will put a copy of the console log the game creates below, but it doesn't list any errors at all. I am 90% sure the problem is my fault somehow.
