Research Bug?

Hi

I'm playing v2.3 on Windows. Today i got a message saying something like "new research subject: alien engine" (sorry thats my own translation. In german it would be "Antrag: Außerirdischer Antrieb". I dont know the original english message).
When i click on the email its empty and also I cannot start researching it. no new research option available

Is this a bug or am i missing some preconditions for reasearching this subject?

Hi,

here you go.
Luckily I also have a savegame right before the mail comes in. I played it again and again and I noticed that in the beginning the mail has text. But after taking a look in the empty research menu and go back to the mail its empty then. Not even the picture on the left is there. Just an empty frame. This happens every time when i use the savegame right before the mail.

Could you please upload the one before it too? It is alway good to be able to reproduce the issue.

No problem with the savegame in general, continue playing.
You cannot research the 'alien propulsion' tech because you don't have any at your research bases. If you transfer the one from Solidarity to Wisdom for example, the research will show up and the mail will be readable.

It is obviously a bug around the techmail ofc.
Please upload the first save so I can investigate why does it show up with no description.
