I just edited the title of your post.
'compile error' is usually associated with the (C-)source.
While ufo2map and ufomodel are also referred to as 'compiling', imho it's better to distiguish between them to attract the right devs that can help you.

I had no problem yesterday compiling mdx files (ufomodel) ....
