U.F.O. Color Code ?

Would it be okay to have different colored FX for the U.F.O.s or shall the FX be always green ?
I think it would be quite nice for the player to see some variations on the U.F.O.s:

For the time being I think it's best to stick with green. Uniformity creates character.

What about the 'Engines & Powersource' texture (ufo2_12, used in Corrupter) ?
I made many quite nice animations for that one, even though I think there is only one Corrupter-level (yet). But I can throw all of those out also if you like me to, but I think some variation would be nice for the player to see ;)
