OK, maybe this is a nice one.

With Mattn's suggestions, I think it'd work very well. Thanks, sitters!

Winter

Hello,

the radar tower looks nice, the your radome (ball) looks different, being based on pentagon shape giving less geometric "depth".

However suggest increasing some number of pentagon or use skin to stimulate the ball surface

here is a wiki of an geodesic radome.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radome

I just happen to google for radome and found an "geometry" drawing of current radome manufacturer that might be useful. this web site has photograph of both pentagon based and triangular based (lot of details).

Considering this is going to be on the global view, where there will be countless other polygons being rendered, lit, etc, adding more is not a good idea, especially since this is going to be an icon, of sorts. I think its good the way it is

Actually the radar station that I was guarding while doing military service had almost exactly the shape of the model. Don't change it, I think it looks perfect.

A suggestion for the UFO Yard,

Just a open space with a camouflaged roof.

i like that - it's unique enough for a geoscape model - not sure what Winter says, though.

It looks futuristic (and in my opinion quite solid, not just like a "tent" or just camoflage nets). Yet it doesn't look stable enough to survive an air-to-ground bombing by ufos (which sometimes happens in the game), so I think it fits quite well in my imagination. ;)

100% approved, in my opinion. No complaints whatsoever.

Sitters, is there anything you can't model?  (Seriously!)   ;D

BTW, If I keep at what I've been doing lately with modeling, you might start to have a little competition in a few years or so, give or take:
