with rev 2319, I cannot load savegames
The menu does not show any error, it just returns to the "Singleplayer"-menu.
To see the erromessage, open the console:

Unable to load campaign 'slot2', unknown stage ''It is a savegame from this version of the game,
just after building bases and equipping the soldiers.
Apart from fixing this, it would also be nice to show
a messagebox to the user, if such an error occurs.
