OK mild chuckle. I don't rename my dudes, but I guess it does have the capacity for humor or creativity.

Maybe I'll name someone "Reed Shirts" get it

Lol. WOW! Rambo....... I simply rename all to be the boring names of the wpns they hold.

Eg:
Leader 1
Leader 2
Assault 1
Rocket 1
Sniper 1
Sniper 2
Sniper 3
Machine Gun 1

Lol. Easier to spot my weaponaries.

I usually rename them for their better skills and put using weapon in brackets. Gets pretty organized.

i remember each of their names and develop a close friendship with each soldier. Thats why I had a mini-put-put course installed in my base. But when I cant remember their names I just call them "bro" or "man" or "champ".

I sometimes rename them according to what they should do, like

"Sniper 1"

or
"Close Combat 2"

and stuff like that

Ah, i usually also have a "BOSS" character, and I absolutely hate it if that guy dies

WOW! Thats the EXACT name i have been using. lol....

Though i might be adding brackets to the name soon (ideas from above) to indicate the wpnry they're using.
