hi everybody.

trying to launch ufoai 2.2.1 on acer aspire one (l110) + linux mint 6 (xfce). installes from .run ok.

upon first launch asked for libsdl_ttf & libsdl_mixer -- fixed by installing from ubuntu repositories.

aspire one has a 1024x600 screen, this res in not an option in ufoai list of video modes. which should be fine as far as i can edit configuration file ~/.ufoai/2.2.1/... but after having done this ufoai launches into something like 400x300. configuration file still lists 1024x600, and setting any other resolution (4:3 or 16:10) doesn't help.

has anyone run into this? any ideas?

well... sorry for this misinformation: after poking blindly into the resolution list (try it at 400x300 with sub-pixel lines!) i finally hit 1024x480 and it worked. after a bit of testing looks like fullscreen modes with both sides within the 1024x600 constraints tend to work.

they just look awful. 1024x480, for instance, gets letterboxed =/

so the problem is: ufoai just ignores 1024x600 setting in the config file, regardless fullscreen or window mode.

ah, looks like there's the post and (possible) solution... here.
