I wish I could help out with this myself, but I'm already working on enough other projects I just don't have time - I wish you good luck with making it though.

Sorry, no. It's windows only. But maybe it will work under wine.

You can't play other games :P You need time to develop Ufo: Ai :P

Joking of course ;) I hope you will manage to release 2.3 this year - so 2010 will be interesting year for x-com fans.

That game is not interesting at all. It is not opensource, it doesn`t support localization and even works only under win32.

All words said by me is MY opinion, otherwise I add links to source. And it should be common practice, should not?

It will not be interested for all non-english-speakers, for example, or you have other opinion?

And, I said all what I wanted to said already.

Yeah, it's your opinion, but it felt like you want to say that it won't be interesting for all people.

It's understandable that you have reasons why it isn't interesting for you, but i hope that it will be interesting for other people.

Yeah, probably. But on the other side i think that this project will only be interesting for players who played original x-com and i think that those players have basic understanding of english language - original game was in english after all (or am i wrong?).

Yeah, it's your opinion, but it felt like you want to say that it won't be interesting for all people.

Please keep in mind that a good number of forum members here don't know English as their first language, and as such attempting to "read between the lines" when reading their posts may pick up an unintentionally implied message.

...original game was in english after all (or am i wrong?).

As I recall the original game was in English, French, and German, as some versions had a language menu when the game was started.  There might have also been Spanish, but its been a long time.

hehe - of course

it's still a pity that it isn't portable - as it would really be cool to play such a game on my handheld

but i'm sure you will attract enough players as the game looks great and it looks like you catches "the spirit of xcom" (tm) ;)

also the point that you have full campaign multiplayer is very cool. that's something we can only dream of in ufo:ai :(

all the best wishes for the release

What handheld? Maybe someone ported dosbox to it ;) Or maybe you could try pocket ufo if it's based on windows mobile. Also AFAIK someone managed to dissasemble and assemble ufo for gp2x.

Fortunately, there was a "kind man from Tula (RU)", who hacked X-Com 1 and created excellent translation to Russian. So there are many X-Com fans in Ru-speaking net, and I know some opinions from our forum about this remake.

It is really interesting for me, really. but not as much as it can be.

And good luck for you and game, in any case it will find its fans too. $)
