The need for a RC4-binary is very high. So compliments to you v29a for attacking it. Unfortunately I cant profit from your work since I use Linux. Anyhow I'd suggest to gather some "quickpatch"-possibilities, maybe in a wiki.

I would be VERY thankful if somone could find some webspace to put compiled maps, since there have been some changes since RC3, and now my day is lost for compiling them...

In current SVNs there is also no music, which mattn handled herewith

http:// http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/ufoai/music.tar.bz2?download

Maybe there would be some sense in killing RC1 and RC2 to free some space, once the RC4 is out. But I don't know when this will be either  :cry:

Hi! I have a fast server and I have space too. just send me the new compiled full version by skype. My skype name: nagyhazi_gergely

Thats sounds great. Anyhow if you have a quick server running linux, or a Linux machine with acesse to it, it'd be Wonderful to write a script to
--- Code: --- /etc/cron.daily
--- End code ---
, that everyday updates, compiles and posts the freshest maps from SVN TRUNK. It could look like:

--- Code: ---
#! /bin/sh
cd /(place of trunk) ; svn co https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/ufoai/ufoai/trunk ; cd trunk/base/maps; make ; cd .. ; tar cvfz ufoai-trunk-maps-binary.tar.gz maps; cp -f ufoai-trunk-maps-binary.tar.gz /(folder that can be acessed from outside);

--- End code ---

Then people new to trunk or ones who want to check out the newest maps with older versions could save the hassle of compiling them (8 hours on my 2ghz machine). Another option is that you provide the place and some other server runs the daily compiling. [also zipping reduces it from 500 to 82 Mb]
Sorry I dont use Skype :( My ICQ is 195250102 though..

v29a:
stefangranholm: thanks for uploading the big file ... those small ones are there for historical reasons.

ill do another patch ~tomorrow it will be the first one distributed through skydrakes webspace :)

sorry but i dont have any linux box here that is fast enough to test ufo so there wont be any xdeltas for linux ... not yet
(anyone who uses linux should be able to compile stuff from source anyway ;-) )
