as the second mission I got "Morioka" but there was no cross on the map,

some of the missions needs new coordinates - there are just dummies in the campaign.ufo - see the TODO note in this file. This is also mentioned in the console.

Not even on the south pole?

The dialogbox in the lower left obscures the southernmost part of southamerica,
and part of antarctia, too.
I tried some blind clicks there, but no luck.

just shift the geoscape map - some of the mission in campaign.ufo scriptfile (base/ufos) still have wrong latitude and longitude assigned - these warnings are shown in console, too - and needs to be fixed...

just shift the geoscape map

Now I learned to right-click and ctrl-click to scroll and zoom the worldmap,
but it does not help: the location for that mission is not on the map.

Is there a list of their intended locations ?
Without some background, fixing the locations would be quite some guesswork...

no, there is no list of the locations. they should be placed all over the geoscape - and of course te map should fit to the climazone.
