External Sound issue
« on: November 06, 2008, 08:57:43 am »
I love playing this game (just re-downloaded it), but I have always had one main issue. I like to multi-task on the computer, and tend to prefer listening to my own music (winamp) while playing games, or playing games while listening to browser audio from politics videos & such. It seems that UFO:AI is the only game I have which cuts up external audio (seems to come in for a couple seconds, then off for a few more seconds, and repeats that) and I can't figure out if there's anything I can do with game settings to fix that. If not, I would like to offer that up as a feature request, to have the game play more nicely with other OS audio.

Thanks :)

Hi ulwen, u running 2.2.1 rite? I have no problems with it before, though i am on 2.3 dev (R21950) now.

Maybe u can provide us with some of your hardware specs??

PS, u might want to consider shutting down unwanted background applications by terminating them BEFORE running UFOAI.

U can also try to check ur winamp version. Try updating it to the latest version 5.541
