New Updates:

http://www.destructavator.com/92dl/uforadiant_1_5_r26960.exe

http://www.destructavator.com/92dl/ufoai_2_3dev_r26960.exe

I didn't have time to test these latest two installers, but they should run (mostly) OK.

Do these work without a hitch? Your "mostly" caveat alarms me.  :D

What I meant is that I didn't have time to test-run the revision and build, but most of the recent revisions have been quite stable.  Still, they are not supposed to be finished, fully stable (official) releases, and probably have a few bugs here and there, which is why I said "mostly."

I seriously doubt the installers would make your machine burst into an exploding ball of fire though.   ;)

Ahahhaha! No, I wasn't worried about that. I was thinking maybe it won't install or something. I'm on WiFi, so I don't relish the idea of spending half a day DL'ing something and then finding out the installer won't work.

But I'll take your word for it. I'm quite excited with this build since I've read somewhere that the stairway bug has all but been fixed.

The versions posted here are development builds, i.e. always the latest changes the developers have made to the code. On the sourceforge (not soulforge, nice unintended pun btw  ;D) page, only so called stable releases are published. This is pretty much standard in open source projects.
The stable builds are guaranteed to be quite playable, whereas the development builds can and most likely will contain some bugs. Their reason is actually for people to test them and find those bugs - so the devs can fix them. Normally to get them you'd have to check out the source code and compile the game for yourself (i.e. have at least basic knowledge of coding), but Destructavator (and odie before) are so nice to compile and upload them, so more people (who can not or do not want to compile them themselves) can test it.

If you compare it to commercial games, playing the development builds is like partaking on an open beta. You'll have to endure a bug or two here and there. And it would be nice if you report them in the forum, if you find any. On the plus side, you'll get a lot of new features that wasn't in the last stable release.
Especially for ufoAI, where the last stable release was ages ago, much much has changed.

Nothing new?   ;D

Nice timing for such a question - As an interesting coincidence I had actually uploaded a new installer starting last night and was going to surprise everyone with a fresh new link this morning, but I then just discovered I didn't build it properly due to a very common yet very serious malfunction and error on my computer, the one called "operator idiocy."   :P

Yes, I made a few dumb mistakes packaging the installer, and I know how to fix them, I just need to make the time today to do the work to re-build it.  Hopefully I'll have a new installer up by tomorrow morning, maybe earlier depending on how my day goes today.

Thanks Dave! You and Odie are two of the biggest reasons I visit this forum often. Your support and enthusiasm for the project encourages others to check on the progress of this great freeware game! (And no, that's not sarcasm mind you.  ;D)

Another thanks from me. I don't know anything about compiling and your frequent binaries keep me from reporting too many errors that have already been fixed.

I didn't have time to test this one, but if it works, have fun with it:

http://www.destructavator.com/92dl/UfoAi_Dev_r27240.exe

Edit: Please note that this installer is larger in size than previous ones, with new content added and such.  I don't know if this one would fit on a CD or not.  Also, all the maps were fully re-built.
