I'm still having headaches with compiling GTKRadiant and getting it to package properly, but the actual game should work.
This package was created under Vista Home Premium, 32-bit.

Hm? Doesn't the NSI script work for you? That's how I package the installers.

Saves from 2.3 dev svn dont seem to be working with this build ??? log had some errors with maps and other stuff not being found (can recreate if necessary). Started fresh, and some items and the chars didnt have textures. When i tried to assign combat armor to a soldier, it crashed  ???
Dont get me wrong, im not complaining and not trying to report bugs or whatever, but this build may not have cooked well. Ill give it another shot.

I was playing with with 2.3 dev, and saves dont seem to work with this build. S

I saw an incompatible comit about savegame file format in the changelogs. You will probably need to start again with this new dev binary.

One other note: Saved games are usually *not* compatible between different versions.

I'm using NSIS version 2.39, should I be using a different one?

I use 2.37, so that should be fine. I was just wondering why you can't package radiant, because I don't have any difficulties.

The next time I build a package I'll post and attach some logs, both the output from codeblocks and the NSIS logs - From that you (or any of the other coders) should be able to see what I'm doing wrong.

EDIT: Never mind, I got it to work now.

SVN version 19060 has been packaged and is now ready.  When uploading is complete, I'll edit this post with a link.

Comments:  This version appears, at least on my systems, to be much more stable than the previous build I uploaded, so those who want to try a development build should have better luck with this one.  Also, I (finally) got all parts to compile and package correctly, including radiant, so this package is complete.  It was created with "windows" as the compile target.  Also, FYI this package was made on 32-bit Vista Home Premium, and most likely future builds will also be created this way, at least the ones that I upload.  This package came out larger in filesize, as a result it will take longer to upload with my connection.

You should build windows_debug, really. These are test installers, after all. If people have problems with them, it's best that they can provide as much feedback as possible.

OK, I'll keep that in mind for future reference, thanks.

EDIT:

http://www.destructavator.com/public/ufoai-2_3-dev-win32_r19060.zip

I know it says 19060, but it might actually be off by one or two revision numbers, give or take.

FYI everyone, I'll try to make the time to upload another one sometime this weekend, and if possible I'll do a little more testing to try to grab a more stable build.

Thanks a lot for generating new Win32 packages.

The ultimate service would be to edit the link in the first post of this thread accordingly.

(Just a suggestion.. :-) )

<Edit>I just remembered I asked for the same thing in the other thread.. :-). Its me getting seinile..</Edit>

OK, I think I've found a more stable build, I'm now uploading it, which will take about 5-6 hours from now.

For those of you who have SVN checkout copies, I'd recommend revision 19141 - I ran it on two machines and can't find anything that makes it crash outright, although it does have a few minor cosmetic issues here and there at high display resolutions, but nothing that really makes the game unplayable.  Regarding the minor issues, I found them on a machine with old video card drivers, which could very well be the culprit, if I notice them again on one of my newer machines and it seems like it's the game instead, I'll post something for support with details in another thread or the tracker (sourceforge).

BTW, 19141 completely compiles under windows_debug, including radiant, and in the battlescape the fps stays rather high, not dropping or getting choppy like in past builds (at least on my machines).

Was that armour equip bug about dragging? Did you try clicking right mouse button? That could be a workaround.
