cpsogoj:
Ok thanks! Just one more question: why are you guys doing the 2.4 version? Or: if you are doing version 2.4, why fix the 2.3? In fact i am confused why still developing 2 versions.

2.3.1 will be only a bugfix release, no new feature will be included. 2.4 is planned to be released next year, we wanna provide bugfixes for 2.3 earlier.

ManicMiner:
I have a self-extracting installer for 2.4-dev-32055-Debug, optimised for a Core2 Duo, built using Configure 0.9.0, and compiled with the following settings:

L1 line=64
L1 size=32
L2 size=3072
SSE=4.1

Is it worth uploading?

Mattn:
i don't think so - it's quite old - we are no longer using svn, but git - the svn does not get any new revisions.

ManicMiner:
Granted, however it does seem to be pretty stable even with the GFX options maxed out, and I get a wide variety of maps on missions from the very outset, if starting a new campaign.

There's been a new dev build made available for 2.3 at least once a month for ages, and just wondered when you're going to start doing the same so you can build up an audience for testing 2.4.

Ideally we need a sticky thread explaining what's in 2.4 ALREADY that's not going to be in 2.3.1 when it arrives, so people who want to help on 2.4 but don't have any programming experience, can start doing so simply by testing what's already been implemented, and anyone who just wants a playable game can wait for 2.3.1.
