Crouching Too Cheap?

I'd argue that crouching is too cheap TU wise (1 to crouch, 1 to stand) for the benefits received (considerably better aim and less chance of being hit), and consequently, the existing system almost never provides a situation where a player is genuinely compelled to make an interesting decision on whether to crouch prior to firing.

It already has changed, in 2.3 it cost 3 TU per-action.

Ah!  Noooooo!
I guess all soldiers developed arthritis suddenly.  Actually, having crouching take 1.5 the time it takes to take one step is not bad.

That's right, it was on IRC and you weren't there at the time. You can act indignant all you want, but the simple fact of the matter is that we don't consult you (or the forum community at large) about the decisions we make.

nevertheless, big changes should be given some time on forum- just as it was with minigun, and some other, more important things. This is large change on gameplay, not some small easily adjusted feature like weapon range which can be changed in a few minutes.

Wrong on both counts. It's not as dramatic a change as you're trying to make it sound, and big decisions are not subject to the input of the forum.

than what is this forum for? Delete it and put just announcements about new versions if you dont care about anyones point of view other than yours.
The change of crouch cost sounds rather than dramatic change- and you did not point any reason to do so.

The forum is for bug reports, contributions and discussion. That last means discussion between people - it does NOT mean the developers having to defend their every decision.
