Greater control over interceptors?

I have to admit, the idea I insisted on was a bit advanced for so early in the development, but I truly think it would be nice

May be a turn based mission in the air is not that difficult to implement, it is an idea to develop, right now just my thoughts.
What I miss a lot from the original game is the damage level of both airships and the option of retreat before getting destroyed. I think this is something that must be implemented before the pilots feature, otherwise I don't see the way of training or raising their abilities without being killed.
