В смысле "к чёрту обывателей"? Зачем же ВСЁ вообще тогда делаетс, если обывателей к чёрту?

I don't know... I can not find "History" to translate. Where is it? Could anybody give me a hand.

Для начала -- к сожалению этот форум глючит на неанглийских кодировках, поэтому давай по русски общаться например в страницах вики?

По поводу отсылок:
Ты предлагаешь перевод как "Пистолет Долвича". Кто это такой? Калашникова я знаю, Макарова знаю, Маргулина. А конструктора по имени "Долвич" -- нет, не знаю. У меня возникает ассоциация с одним из персонажей из Jagget alliance 2, но при чём тут название пистолета?

А по поводу обывателей: Игра позиционируется как достаточно реалистичный (насколько это вообще возможно) сеттинг. И упрощать его в угоду "casual gamers" aka "обывателей" я не считаю правильным.

PS: Некрасиво редактировать посты на которые был дан ответ.

Actually, I take the view that as long as translators are talking about a translation, it's perfectly fine to use the language involved. After all, it's easier to talk about the finer nuances of phrasing things when you don't have to paraphrase THAT in English.

And it's not as if anyone who can't read the language has any business commenting on the translation.

Hi, all!

I only start play in this game.
And observe very low fps then display text in russian.
In same occusions with english interface - speed is ok...
What is the matter?

I mark this situation on 3 very different computers
1. p4 3GHz/1.5gb/nvidia8600
2. core duo 2 1.8 GHz/2gb/ati radeon mobility (i do not know model) - laptop AcerAspire 5720
3. pentium m 1.7 GHz/768Mb/ati igp 330m - laptop ibm R40e

I read the faq and not find the answer...

Can anybody help me?

The code that draws the glyphs on the screen. I'm not sure why exactly it is slow, but fact is that it is slow when handling multibyte fonts such as Russian. It's also not UTF-8 compatible. Apparently, it's a royal pain to make it so.
