X-com/UFO ai type game?

Jagged Alliance and Jagged Alliance 2. The later actually has aliens but they're special and not present for most of the game and I think they can be disabled (turning off the futuristic option or something like that)

Depends. As long as you don't mind using the core game, you can change a whole lot by editing the script files. I don't know if that's what you consider "mod support".

i think thats still pretty good. i was hopin for something that didnt require much scripting. all i know is GML. but hey its all good. thanks for the help guys.
