our channel is irc://irc.freenode.org/#ufoai
have a look at tortoise svn  - a svn client for windows that integrates nicely into the explorer. read more about it at http://ufoai.ninex.info/wiki/index.php/Getting_the_source

I have tried to reach you on irc but theres never anyone on that channel. Im wondering which folder should I place some of my own textures that Im using in a map, its pain to retexture a map when the textures you have used end up in different folder in trunk.

I have a shietload of 70s wallpapers (I think those look kinda futuristic now ;D), different colored variations of plastic mat and ceramic bathroom tiles. Maybe tex_furniture would be good for wallpapers and mats? Those can be used for furniture too. Tex_building for tiles.

Im working on a small block of flats with 12 apartments, each with different decoration. There would be about 700kB worth of new textures. Is that too much?

We are on the channel, but it may take some time for us to respond because we could be away. You should try to stick around for a while if you are able. Just ping mattn and he'll get back to you when he is active.
