UFO 2.2 chokes internet gateway

Hi,
The problem is as stated in the topic. My computer is an internet gateway for a small network. If I run UFO AI 2.2 on it, the connection speed for other PCs is just terrible. Any way to get around this problem?
My PC is 2ghz, 256 RAM, Windows XP. UFO is running very smoothly on it, but it seemingly brings all other applications to a halt.

Unfortunately I think you're going to have difficulties playing any games on your internet gateway.  I'd keep any eye on CPU utilization and perhaps disk IO but I don't think there's a lot you can do short of adding a dedicated router to the network to act as an internet gateway.
