left-shift should be camera modifier?

Playing this game one of the first things that stands out to me is the camera in the tactical portion of the game (combat).  It's rather clunky and unhelpful.  As the game starts up in windowed mode, and that's the way I'd like to keep it, scrolling the screen with the mouse becomes rather difficult and painful.

To operate the game in windowed mode you need a third arm or Yahtzee's trained pet spider to work some of the keys for you.  I know, it's a slow game, but I'm going to give myself an RSI if I have to move my hand from the mouse to the keypad so often.

So what I'm suggesting is a control scheme like this:

WASD for normal camera movement (like scrolling with the mouse).
Left-Shift-AD for camera rotation.
Left-Shift-WS for camera levels.

That way you get to keep your left hand on WASD for all camera controls, rather than having to take your hand off of the mouse to use the keypad to scroll.

I'm new to the game, so please don't shoot me if the game has previously handled like this and it was found not to work, or if this topic has been discussed to death with no outcome then I'm sorry to bring it up again :)
