if you can save and load, it must be there somewhere.
save a game. then search your whole hard drive for *.sav files which have been created recently. (this is easy on windows, so i assume you can do it on linux).
Hi!
I encountered same problem on Mac (ver 10.4)
There were nothing like ".ufoai" in my user home folder nor did search give any result on ".sav", ".ufoai" or time based searches.
Problem was that folder ".ufoai" was hidden. Therefore it (and it's contents) didn't show up in search also. :!:
I used "Cocktail" on Mac to make them visible. Perhaps there are some more common way to do that, I don't know.
Since MacOS X is basically Unix, I hope this can be helpful hint.
EDIT: Mac handles files and folders beginning with period (".") as hidden. Perhaps it's your case also?
PS! As I knew this hidden forder's name and location I simply opened it from "Terminal" (command line input). It's not nessecary to make it visible).
Cheers!
