Feature req: Adjustments to crosshair usage (Aiming down)

(1/2) > >>

Bloodspiders and groups of Aliens... these inspire a request.

Personally, I find it's tough to figure out when I've actually targetted a Bloodspider.  The crosshairs actually lie 'over' the model, and generally it's tough to land a shot on these guys from an equal level.  Is it possible to have the crosshairs move to center of mass (or any equivalent item, like headshot) when you have the crosshairs highlighting the 'square' an enemy is in?

Also, I'd like to be able to drop a rocket fired at the ground in the middle of the Alien Huddle.  Currently, it will only fire straight and level unless you adjust the 'height' of the level.  This doesn't help you, unfortunately, when on level 1, aiming at level 1, and it's open ground.  It would be nice if Rocket fire (or any explosive, for that matter) understood that when being directly targetted into a level (or reasonably level, anyway) and empty patch of ground, that it should aim for the z=4 region (adjusted for level) of that specific square.

BTAxis:
Seconded. I'm not a big fan of body part aiming like in Fallout, but dropping rockets on floors is something I've been wanting.

Mattn:
i will do this in the next few days

Mattn:
as some of you might have noticed, i've commited a patch to allow aligning of shooting height.

Please test that revision in current trunk and report problems

Note: This is completly untested - don't have the chance to test it atm

Does this include nades?

This is something I have been working on, but I am very slow...

I would like to be able (to attempt to) bung nades through windows.
